We have two annual gay tours running through The Land of Ice and Fire: Iceland Northern Lights & Essential Sites and Iceland Countryside and Reykjavik Pride. The first is a winter weekend getaway while the latter is a week-long excursion in mid-August. For both, we’ve selected a handful of incredible gay-friendly hotels and guesthouses right beside some of the country’s strongest geysers, largest volcanos and most imposing glaciers.
Scroll down for a peek at the accommodations on our gay Iceland tours.
Reykjavik (Summer only)
To begin and end our summer tour, we’ll slumber at a sleek hotel in the heart of the Icelandic capital. The hotel completely embodies the modern and clean stylings found throughout Reykjavic. The service standards are second to none. Check out the hot tub and sauna, enjoy a nightcap at Brass Restaurant or get a suave new haircut by the in-house barber.
Reykjavik (Winter only)
To keep it fresh, we’ve switched up the hotel we use in Reykjavik on our winter tours. Our new hotel is geometrically designed, featuring perfect lines and shapes. The interior is sophisticated and cosmopolitan without ever feeling pretentious.
South Coast (Summer only)
On our summer tour we’ll spend an evening at this chic countryside hotel. The gorgeous property provides exceptional views of the surrounding mountains, volcano and South Shore.
South Coast (Winter Only)
For our winter tour we’ve chosen this charming countryside escape featuring magnificent views and one of the region’s best restaurants. After an incredible dinner at said restaurant, take to the hotel’s beautiful lounge for a nightcap or an evening steaming and soaking in the extraordinary sauna and hot tub.
