Last summer Robert Sharp hosted our very first Kenya Safaris & Savannahs tour. The all-gay adventure focused on three key regions: Amboseli National Park, Lake Nakuru National Park and the Masai Mara.
Here’s a collection of customer photos from that journey.
Selfies & Safaris
With almost two game drives per day, our guys spent a ton of time in specialized safari jeeps. Needless to say, there were quite a few selfies taken in or with them.
The Maasai People
Activities on our Kenya Safaris & Savannahs tour are certainly weighted towards the country’s more natural attractions. However, getting a small but honest glimpse at the lives of the native Maasai people is a fascinating bonus.
Reaching new heights
A special moment on tour was the optional hot air balloon ride over the Masai Mara. This incredible opportunity gave our guys a unique vantage of the great wildebeest migration, one of The Seven New Wonders of the Natural World.
Up-close encounters
Interesting story: The majority of ‘Out Of Africa’ was filmed on Crescent Island. Giraffes, zebras and elephants were transported to the island so filming could take place free of predatory animals. After filming ended, the animals were left to their own devices on the island. Without predators, their populations thrived. Today, visitors can meander safely about the island on guided walking tours.
Speaking of giraffes, elephants and zebras…
Narrowing down our absolute favourite photos of Kenya’s majestic animals was near impossible. But we took a stab at it anyway.
Roar!
Of course this photo deserves a very special shout-out.
